  • Home & Independent Chefs: pop-ups, tiffin, cloud operations.
  • Students & Trainees: culinary/hotel management institutes.
  • F&B Partners (Associate Members): bakeries, mills, equipment, ingredients, services.
  • Honorary Members: invited chefs/mentors who have contributed to the community.

  1. Student Member
    For current students/trainees.

  2. Professional Member
    For working chefs (commis to executive chef, pastry, bakery, culinary educators).
    Perks: voting rights, Chef of the Month features, job board access, training discounts.
  3. Associate/Partner Member
    For brands, suppliers, and service providers.
    Perks: networking, product showcases at events, listing in partner directory.
  4. Lifetime Member
    One-time fee, all Professional Member benefits for life, priority invites.
  5. Honorary Member (by invitation)
    Recognising outstanding service to the profession.

How to join (simple 3-step process)

  1. Fill the form – basic details + role (student/professional/associate).
  2. Upload proof – ID card or offer letter (students: college ID).
  3. Pay the fee – online payment (UPI/card/net banking).
    You’ll receive a confirmation email and your CATA e-membership card within 48 hours.

Member code of conduct

  • Respect fellow professionals, cuisines, and communities.
  • Maintain hygiene, safety, and fair kitchen practices.
  • No harassment, discrimination, or plagiarism.
  • Be honest in collaborations and brand partnerships.
  • Represent CATA positively online and offline.
    (Violations may lead to suspension or termination of membership.)

FAQs

Q: I’m a student. Can I join now?
Yes. Choose Student Member and upload your college ID.

Q: I’m a home chef. Which category fits me?
Select Professional Member (Independent/Home Chef).

Q: I run a bakery/equipment/ingredient brand.
Choose Associate/Partner Member.

Q: Can I upgrade to Lifetime later?
Yes. You can upgrade by paying the difference.

Q: Do I get a physical card?
You’ll receive a digital e-card. Physical cards may be issued during events.


Renewal, cancellation & refunds

  • Renewal: Annual memberships renew one year from the joining date.
  • Grace period: 30 days after expiry to renew without losing continuity.
  • Cancellation & refunds: Fees are generally non-refundable; special cases are reviewed by the Membership Committee.

Privacy

We respect your data. Your information is used only for membership services, event updates, certificates, and official CATA communication. We never sell your data.
